Karen Coulombe  is a Registered Clinical Counsellor and Registered Art Therapist who works with children, adolescents and adults in her North Vancouver art studio.

Karen uses her training in Art Psychotherapy and Focusing-Oriented Therapy  to help children and adults who are dealing with anxiety, depression, anger, loss, life transitions, or who need some support to work through an upset, event, decision, situation, conflict or concern.

ART THERAPY offers a powerful way to communicate thoughts, emotions, elements and aspects of experiences that words alone are unable to access. FOCUSING ORIENTED ART THERAPY augments the art therapy process by tapping into your inner landscape, inner knowing, and inherent wisdom, so that you can guide your own healing process.

ART TALK: FOCUSING-ORIENTED ART THERAPY is not about developing artistic talent and skill.  It’s about being free with the art materials, experiencing and expressing something meaningful, and coming to compassionate understanding of yourself. The better understanding you have of your bodily senses, feelings, and ideas, the better you are able to know what you want and need as you navigate through life.

ART TALK: your RIGHT BRAIN speaking to your LEFT BRAIN.
